Where you can find me on social media

Looking at the types of social media that I use daily, I basically live online. Some social media that I use is Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

My Twitter lets me know what’s happening at the exact moment based on the people and organizations that I’m following. I usually use it for school or business and I am mostly following news organizations and classmates.

Another professional site that I use is Linkedin. Linkedin helps me connect with others in the same community and network with people.

My Instagram is where I communicate with my friends and family. I post pictures that gives them a glimpse of my life. Instagram is the social media site that I think I use more often than the others.

For my Facebook, I go on there occasionally to see what family from out of state or out of the country are up to.

Please feel free to follow or add me on any of the social media sites I linked!

My aggregation accounts

Social media helped me gather different types of information from a variety of places like when I scroll down my Twitter feed. As I read from post to post, I can be going from news on what’s topping the box office and then the next post can be something about President Trump.

Social media like Twitter is useful to filter all your interests into one place or in this case, feed.

Currently, I’m trying to organize my Tweet Deck to suit my taste. Right now I have different sections that include feeds anywhere from food to the recent shooting at YouTube headquarters.

Tweet Deck helps me find different news outlets that I wouldn’t have otherwise come across such as TIME’s page. After visiting their profile, I am able to find even more relevant articles that spark my interest.

TIME has 15.5 million followers that stay updated on their news posts. If easily accessible social media like Twitter doesn’t keep people updated, I don’t know what will.

AJ+ delivers important information in easiest ways

The news outlet AJ+ is known for their pages on Twitter and Instagram is worth the follow. AJ+ states they are, “news for the connected generation, sharing human struggles and challenging the status quo.”

Gathering 892,000 followers, AJ+ delivers jam-packed news into easily accessible posts that often formats the news into video presentations.

In a generation like this one, everything is so fast-paced and needy for convenience if news isn’t efficiently presented, many people won’t bother reading it. That’s why innovative news outlets like AJ+ succeed.

I personally enjoy following them because a trust that the news is accurate and it doesn’t hurt that it’s more of a visual interaction story rather than reading through a long article.

Many minorities are represented on AJ+ which is another reason I like following them. AJ+ doesn’t shy away from being the voice to minorities in this country or even the less fortunate outside the country.

Where’s Travis? an internet address

As much as I love the internet and everything it offers I actually don’t use it that much to hang out on social media. Personally I find it to be a waste of my time because if I’m going to hang out with someone online its going to be in a video game, or at least in a VOIP where many people are playing different video games but still talking to each other.

Now I do have social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter, but don’t expect to find me on there more than five times a year. If you want to find out what my interests are you can read a paper I put together on tweeted times about most things I like. Now if you are trying to find me in a more professional environment you can find my profile on LinkedIn for my past and present job experience.

Now where can you find me if you want to get a hold of me to talk and hang out? You can find me over at Discord.

Inside Z’s world of social media frenzy

I’ve had social media for a very long time. I started out with MySpace. Unfortunately I do not recall my username or password so a screenshot or link would not be useful at this time.

My main social media platform would be Instagram . I use Instagram primarily for photos and to alert the world via hashtags (and those that are following can see as well ) of newly posted blogs. If you were to look at my Instagram today, you would see a lot of makeup photos such as the one below.

Probably should charge my phone!

Another platform I use is Snapchat, when I want to do a quick review on products or just to show a little personality, I’ll do so on Snapchat.

Also Snapchat has the world stories which is new to Instagram. With this feature you’re able to reach a lot of people.

My Twitter is fairly new for me to use, originally I used so I could see the products being shipped in my Ipsy bag prior to receiving them. Now I’ve opened it up publicly. I’ll likely use it the same as I use my Instagram account.

Lastly and most important to me is my Blog. Which is one of the main reasons I took a journalism class. I like to have my own platform where I can voice my own opinions, promote my book and of course do product reviews. On my blog, I’ll have my personal poetry, reviews and affiliate discounts with links. After taking this class I’ll be redoing my whole blog to give it a more professional look rather than the I started in my garage vibe it has currently.
